Thank you for being paid subscribers of Article Club. I’m very grateful.
In last Thursday’s newsletter, I announced that I’d be trying a new way for us to connect and discuss articles: a live text thread. Here’s what I wrote:
💬 Let’s chat! Last week’s lead article, “Are White Women Better Now?” elicited strong reactions. Let’s chat about it. Next Tuesday 5/21, 5-6 pm PT, I’ll open a live text thread here for us to discuss. (If you can’t make it live, feel free to add your two cents afterward.) I’m looking forward to trying this out and seeing you there.

Some context: This experiment emerged from a poll in Issue #443, in which 65 percent of folks said absolutely yes or maybe to trying out a chat thread. (I’ve heard that some Article Clubbers don’t like Zoom but want a space for discussion.)
It would be great to see you on the chat thread. Regular Article Club “rules” will apply: (1) There’s no need to perform, (2) Let’s talk about the article, (3) Let’s listen as much as we share. I’ll be there 5-6 pm PT, but if that’s not a great time for you, feel free to add your thoughts afterward, too. Let’s see how this goes!
